MLK Republicans host Hip Hop Extravaganza with DJ Jazzy Jeff and Rakim
On Friday, October 15th, the Martin Luther King Republicans will host their first Hip Hop Extravaganza with DJ Jazzy Jeff and Rakim. Guests will enjoy a VIP experience at the Harold Washington Cultural Center, located at 4701 South King Drive in Chicago, with a pre-concert reception and special seating. Portions of the group sales will be donated to the Central State University Chicago Alumni Scholarship fund to keep with its goal to support HBCUs.
Jimmy Lee Tillman II, the founder and president of the Martin Luther Republicans is a hip hop conservative and credits music as a unifying factor in America. "It is undeniable that hip hop music brings us together. It crosses generational and ethnic barriers. DJ Jazzy Jeff and Rakim are legends and we are happy to provide an event for our supporters while raising money for CSU."
