Tillman issued the following statement regarding Mitch McConnell's debt ceiling vote

"Mitch McConnell is a failed leader and should step down. After four months of lip service, he gave the Democrats exactly what they wanted. Instead of forcing them to use reconciliation, which they used to spend the money, he gave in to them, disregarding the majority of the GOP leadership and representatives.

The GOP must function as a team, including a working relationship with former President Donald Trump. The Minority Leader fails to recognize President Trump's connection with the American people. We are watching closely to what is going on in DC, and we are tired of the backroom wheeling and dealing."
